In one on my task I had to create a visual info-graphic chart where I, with a minimum of text I would show and link 5 different movements or designers through the research that I have done in my previous blogs.
The 5 movements that I have chosen are : ♦ Post War (1945-1958)
♦ Pop Design (1958-1972)
♦ Radical/Anti Design (1968-1972)
♦ High Tech (1972-1985)
♦ Post Modernism (1978...)
In my next four blogs I will be discussing shortly with minimum of text by linking and communicate visually with pictures that are linked to my chart. In my chart I intend to only use text in my chart on the title part only and from there I insert pictures to make you understand better what was happening clearly at the time without having to insert text.
The first one I'm going to start with is :
Post War Movement (1945-1958)

Ray & Charles Eames
By now you must have seen their bent plywood and fiberglass furniture, designs which have become synonymous with the Mid-Century Modern Style.
CHARLES & RAY EAMES POSTAGE STAMPS
Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman
Product Story:
Charles and Ray Eames made the lounge chair and ottoman as a gift for their friend Billy Wilder, the director of "Some Like It Hot" and "Sunset Blvd." When we began manufacturing the set in 1956, we maintained as much of the hand-craftsmanship as was possible with mass production. Throughout the Eames/Nelson era, we came closer than anyone else to incorporating craft ideals into the mass production of furniture
Product Story:
Designers Charles and Ray Eames established their long and legendary relationship with Herman Miller in 1946 with their boldly original molded plywood chairs. The aesthetic integrity, enduring charm, and comfort of the chairs earned them recognition from Time magazine as The Best Design of the 20th Century. Time called the design "something elegant, light and comfortable. Much copied but never bettered." (A locomotive came in second.)
